NEW! Volunteer JPs wanted for JP services across Inner West Council Libraries

The Inner West Library Service is seeking volunteer JPs to service members of the public at Marrickville, Balmain and Leichardt libraries. 

Locations and Times:

  • Marrickville Library: Regular volunteer to attend Marrickville library (for minimum of one hour) on Saturdays (Library opening hours are 9:30 am to 5:00 pm)
  • Leichardt Library: Regular volunteer to attend Leichardt library on a weekday between 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm (preferably on Tuesdays, but other weekdays are also possible) and on Saturdays (preferably between 10:00 am to 11:00 am, but other times between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm are possible)
  • Balmain Library: Regular volunteer to attend Balmain library on Saturdays at any time between 10: 00 am to 4:00 pm

JP Factsheet - Witnessing overseas and interstate documents 

The Department of Justice regularly receives inquiries as to whether NSW JPs can witness documents from interstate and overseas.  Under NSW legislation JPs are not authorised to witness such documents.
